What you need to know before going on exchange: Force yourself to speak other languages, make international friends, say yes to every experience, and go clubbing all the time.
You’ve probably heard all this advice before, whether you’ve already been on an exchange or are leaving soon, and it may have been presented to you as what you HAD to know (and maybe even do) to make sure your exchange goes well—as if there were only one way to experience it.
But in the end, all this advice is extremely prescriptive, and sometimes it creates unrealistic and unattainable expectations about what a university exchange is really like.
We’re discussing this today on « Bienvenue au 14 » , let us talk on Instagram @bienvenueau14 .
